Dialup service:

All terminal servers (modem servers/racks) use the latest in 56K v.90 ITU standard and flex protocols. Each line that goes into these modems is a conditioned ISDN error free digital line, making random disconnects and line noise to our communication lines or equipment next to impossible. Since inception, the policy has been to allow users maximum time online while maintaining a busy-free dial-in pool. New lines are added as the customer base increases to ensure that there is no wait to logon.

*Excess hours are billed at $0.65/hour. Packages less than $19.95/month require a credit card or deposit to be on the account.

Each package includes:

• Email address.
• Free telephone technical support.
• No mandatory disconnection periods.
• NO BUSY SIGNALS since May 1999, on any dial-up plan!.

Email - spam filtering / email virus scanning / webmail

To reduce the amount of SPAM (junk email) and viruses that are sent to member' accounts, we have designed and implemented filtering services that help reduce the problem immensely.
In addition, all incoming and outgoing emails are scanned for virus. Any identifiable virus found is automatically stopped from reaching its destination, and an email notification is sent to the sender.
Webmail gateway has been upgraded to be more streamlined - the result is an extremely fast user interface.
These services are enabled by default, and are seamless, to all Autobahn accounts.
